From my facebook:
if anybody still has a windows 10 machine that can’t upgrade to 11, you may have noticed security updates run out in October. It will be a lot snappier & more responsive if you give it another life with https://linuxliteos.com or something. pretty simple adjustment to switch from windows to that for most people. may be lacking a few of the fancy features but it wont get stuck and make you wait several minutes or dozens of seconds while it tries to get its head together and become responsive again. also much faster to start up. upgraded my 2016 desktop just recently. super easy to make a boot stick /installer with USB these days you don’t have to get a DVD blank and have a CD/DVD burner (most of the user friendliest linux types will not fit on a CD anymore…). Also make sure your parents, grandparents, friends and relatives dont lose their life savings or get their identity stolen by continuing to run insecure windows 10 after the deadline,, btw PSA. Kthxbai! (or all their files if they have a lot of important stuff and artwork and whatnot in there)
