I had the ChatGPT AI from OpenAI, which has been all in the news lately, respond to one of my more popular poems, “Self-Concept Commutative Telegrams”, and later had the DALL-E 2, also from Open AI respond pictorially. Below are some of the results. The text of the poem is also reprinted at the bottom of the post. Each time you give DALL-E text, it generates 4 images. You can also upload an image for it to generate variations on, or have it generate variations on one of its output images. ChatGPT is available for limited free use right now, and DALL-E 2 will grant you 50 free credits the first month and 15 free credits thereafter.
Interesting side-note: in other talks with ChatGPT, I determined that it is currently incapable of generating poems that don’t rhyme even when you tell it to or it says ‘Sure I can!’.
