The Pestilence of ‘Christian’ ‘Nationalism’
Three Items today.
ONE: Stephen Colbert reported Tuesday (see video below, 20 seconds from entry point) that there had been 110 (on Tuesday, probably more now) grievances filed by military members stationed at dozens of places in the Middle East that commanders have told them that “President Trump is anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth…”. This after Trump and his lackeys purged hundreds of generals and other high officers to replace them with more MAGA friendly zealots. And “One commander had a big grin as he said all of this, which made it seem even more crazy.
TWO: In other, older reporting, 8 days before the latest, biggest Trump war started, Pete Hegseth the incompetent Secretary of Defense is apparently a follower of a far right loony pastor, one of several he invited to speak at one of a series of *’worship’ services at the Pentagon*. THREE: Really, it feels to me like (but probably oversimplifying), these masses of millions of pseudo-Christians wouldn’t know real spirituality or religion if it smacked them in the face. On that note, I would also highly recommend the book Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person’s Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds by John Fugelsgang, a comedian by trade who was apparently just F ing DONE with people fraudulently claiming the banner of “my parents faith” (his words). It gives a rather clear picture of the difference between what the person known as Christ actually demonstrated and taught in his brief 3 year ministry, what the church was meant to be, and what the many false preachers of today today teach in their Pseudo-Christian ideologies. It was a greatly entertaining read and certainly contained more of the bible, 95% of which, the Gospel than I’d ever read before (I always got instantly bored the handful of times I opened it up to try to read, so I didn’t). Among many interesting points one that was rather overriding was that the New Covenant of this Christ person superseded eveything in the old testament, IE the New Deal voids and OVERRIDES all the garbage of the old testament vengeful puritan type god-entity.
B: Withholding commentary about how with all these interceptors and surface effect munitions gone, this could spell defeat for the US if it comes to China invading Taiwan and the US attempting to fight back. It also has the effect if ‘successful’ in securing Iranian compliance of giving the US and allies the ability (with Venezuela also off the board and Russia’s oil industry increasingly on the ropes) to embargo or blockade oil from China.
