Realized the other day that my bluetooth headphones with noise cancelling have three settings, not two. Let noise in, block all noise, and ‘block noise / enhance voice’!! So if you want to try eavesdropping on the baristas or the next table, you can turn on setting three with no music or sound playing on the earphones. It’s quite good I think, so far.. I expect the rest of it is too. Our libraries were unexpectedly closed when I went to look for something with writing prompts (‘for professional development’, not President’s Day, meaning, I think, that the city does not participate in all federal holidays but the librarians wanted to take a half day off anyway..), so I went to Half Price Books instead and this is one of two things I found.
