A MODERN NON-TAROT ORACLE / CREATIVITY / PROBLEM SOLVING TOOL. STAY TUNED FOR A FUTURE CARD DECK. A 12X18″ LAMINATED PRINT IS AVAILABLE NOW WITH A MORE POLISHED VERSION IN PROGRESS. ART PRINTS ARE ALSO PLANNED.
The system was designed such that you can use three coin flips to generate a binary number to select the column and roll a dice to select the row [of the chosen symbol], which provides a much better randomization than card shuffling. Also a faster randomization for small numbers of ‘cards’.
Symbols for this postcard were chosen by use of Random.org, which supplies true random numbers (not PRNG [Pseudo-Random Number Generator deterministic software] numbers) sourced from ‘atmospheric noise’ (electromagnetic, I think). Cards stick and shuffling doesn’t usually mix them singly but in small ‘chunks’. You need at least 7-11 shuffles to make an approximation of randomness for a 52 card deck. Dice and coins don’t have these drawbacks.
